A Weekend in Casablanca: Josie Maran Escape to Morocco Holiday Set

On the mystical planet of Retail, time moves more quickly than the rest of the universe.  Shortly after returning from a Labor Day getaway we are already passing store windows with Halloween and Thanksgiving decorations.  In the month of October many brands start releasing their most fabulous and enticing sets of products for the holiday season. Did I mention that Christmas is only ten weeks away?   I look forward to purchasing all the sets as soon as they come out for many reasons.  Holiday sets that feature makeup, skincare, and fragrance are limited edition gems that have all new products or colors, while also incorporating best sellers from the brand. These sets provide the opportunity to try a range of new products at one time. I also love the idea of collecting them for the convenience of having smaller sized products I love for travel, and I also recycle the empty containers to refill when traveling or going to the gym. I just wash them thoroughly with antibacterial soap.

When I saw the Josie Maran Escape to Morocco Set in Sephora all I remember was losing my breath for a moment. It is the perfect combination of old loves and new loves. Old Loves are products I have used for six months or longer. New Loves are products I have recently discovered or have been using for one to six months.  This set, which is only thirty-nine dollars,  has six products.  The two products in the set I have used in the past and have had great results with are the 100% Pure Argan Oil and the Argan Cleansing Oil.  The 100% Argan Oil can be used on the face alone or under moisturizer for all skin types, it can be used on hair to nourish and repair all hair types and textures, you can use it on the body, and it calms inflammation while hydrating.  The Cleansing Oil has been in my bathroom for almost one year. A few drops gently massaged onto dry skin will break down makeup without stripping the skin of vital moisture.  After you rinse there is absolutely no greasy residue and all your makeup has silently slipped down the drain.

The other four products in the set are wonderful. The Whipped Body Cream in Vanilla Apricot has an amazing texture, is  incredibly hydrating,  and the scent was warm but not overwhelming.  The Argan Oil Hair Serum tamed my hair without feeling heavy or greasy. The hair serum provides the benefits of Argan Oil with Geranium. It smells fantastic and it made my hair feel soft and touchable.  The Whipped Hand Cream has graduated to a permanent place in my daily makeup bag. As a makeup artist I am constantly washing and sanitizing my hands.  This hand cream has saved my hands from a life of dryness.

The last item in the set is the Argan Infinity Intensive Creamy Oil. I have been wanting to try this product ever since it came out.  This is a creamy non-greasy balm that can be used for everything possible!  As the name suggests the possible uses for this product are infinite.  It can be used on the face, on the lips, on the cuticles, and on the hair to smooth split ends and flyways. It can be used around the eyes before makeup, and on dry elbows and knees.  A little bit of product goes a long way so use sparingly. I have been battling seasonal allergies recently and have been blowing my nose frequently.  I put a small dab of the Infinity Intensive Creamy Oil on the tip of my nose where it was irritated and it immediately soothed the soreness and irritation around my nose.  It did not ruin my foundation and it melted into my skin so I did not look shiny. Holiday sets sell out quickly so pick this one up as soon as possible.   Happy Shopping.
