Lily’s February Favorites!!

Hello Lovelies,

Last month I tried a few new products that I absolutely love and have been using regularly. These are great additions to your beauty arsenal and they are definitely worth the investment.

1. Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Face Primer, $32

This product will improve your makeup routine even if you haven’t had a few too many drinks.   Due to the chill of the New York winter I noticed increased dryness in my skin and it was seriously affecting the look and feel of my foundation so I decided to try a new primer. This product is incredibly nourishing, creates a soft smooth canvas for makeup application, and smells lovely. It contains Coconut Water to replenish the skin and give your complexion a fresh dewy look. The product is silicone-free and feels cooling on the skin. You only need a small pump for your whole face.   I have used it under liquid and powder foundation it works fabulously.

2. Soap and Glory Peaches and Clean Deep Cleansing Milk, $28

This product has the cutest name I have ever seen on a cleansing product. I use a lot of Soap and Glory products because they have amazing ingredients, always smell delicious, and they are a good value.  I actually bought this product the first week of December so I have had plenty of time to test drive it.  My 16.9oz (500ml) bottle has been in my bathroom for three full months and I still have at least another four weeks of product left in my bottle.  Peaches and Clean is a four-in-one product; it purifies the skin, removes makeup, smooths the complexion, and energizes. I use it in the morning as a gentle cleanser with my Clarisonic Face Brush.  At night I always remove my eye makeup first then use my Peaches and Clean to take off all my complexion makeup. Let me take a moment to note it says on the bottle “avoid contact with eyes”.  It works best on the face and neck so be sure to remove mascara and shadow first with your favorite eye makeup remover. I love the fact that my skin feels softer and looks brighter after I use it. It’s safe for all skin types, and their Oxyginseng complex helps to keep pores clear.

3. Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in Violet Ink, $25

The color of royaltyIf you have brown eyes, green eyes, or hazel eyes, a splash of purple will immediately enhance your eye color. Bobbi Brown’s gel eyeliner goes on smoothly and lasts all day. Lately I have been using this product on my inner rim to brighten my eyes and add a touch of glamour to my eye looks.  It complimented my eye look from the MAC Cinderella palette, and when I do a soft neutral eye it is a good alternative to my beloved black liner.  I apply it using my Real Techniques Fine Liner brush which is only six dollars and gives a perfectly precise line. Yes, you read correctly….six dollars on realtechniques.com.

As always, if you try any of these products, I would love to see it! Tag me on instagram (@sagebeautyblog)!

Stay Beautiful
