As a proud resident of New York, I live in a place that everyone dreams of visiting. New York City has and a taste of every part of the world, and it’s all accessible with a quick swipe of my Metrocard. Now that I can step out of my house and not be crushed by winter I decided to start being a tourist in my own town again. My first stop is Williamsburg Brooklyn. The best way to get there is the L-train. I don’t get to Brooklyn often but I knew that Williamsburg is best known for hipsters, an active music scene, and awesome food and shops. I got off at the Bedford Street stop and started exploring. I found some awesome places to eat and shop. I’m sharing the spots I know for sure I will be visiting again in the near future.
1. Pinky Otto
Cute dresses in soft feminine colors with clean lines. All the pieces are easy to wear, fun to layer, and will give your wardrobe a touch of minimalist glamour.
2. Soap Cherie
I hope you love cute luxurious soaps as much as I do! These make great gifts since mother’s day, wedding, baby shower, and bridal shower season are in full swing.
3. Whisk is my new favorite home store! Your kitchen is going to love you for shopping here!
4. Vanessa’s Dumplings blew my mind. I have very high standards when it comes to dumplings so if I’m impressed you know it’s worth the trip. Make sure you stop here after a busy, calorie-burning day of shopping.
5. Whenever I go to a new place I always have to explore a bookstore. Spoonbill & Sugartown has some interesting titles and be sure to check out what’s on the tables outside.
I hope you enjoyed this look at Williamsburg and I will be sharing my take on other neighborhoods in future posts this summer.
