The Fragrance I Wore To Have Brunch With Kate Middleton.

Hello Lovelies,

As the summer season begins to bloom,  I am exploring my options for a new summer fragrance.  I  wear fragrance all year round; it is the finishing touch to every woman’s look, the signature of her allure.  Fragrances have personalities and carry memories.  For me shopping for fragrance, is like shopping for every other accessory.  My first thought is either where am I going to where this or what occasion would this be appropriate for?

Whenever I hear people talk about fragrances it’s usually something they wear everyday to work or something they wear only for a night out on the town.  I love having a fragrance to wear for brunch with friends.   Feasting on brunch outside is the essential New York City activity on a gorgeous sunny day.  I have a list in my head of amazing people I would love to chat with over a savory Saturday brunch.  The first person on the list is Her Royal Highness, Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton.

I remember waking up early years ago to watch Kate and Will’s wedding. She did her own makeup and looked phenomenal. I have always loved her style because it is a seamless balance of figure flattering outfits with modern cuts and hats that I die for. During our brunch we would probably discuss her super adorable royal offspring Prince George and Princess Charlotte, and our favorite places to shop in London.  I’m dying to hear how Princess William proposed to her.

For this brunch date Jo Malone’s French Lime Blossom was my first choice.  It’s classic, feminine, and British just like Kate herself.  This sophisticated scent introduces itself with top notes of bergamot, orange, and linden blossom. The middles notes of a fragrance are the true heart of the fragrance: lily of the valley, orange blossom, rose, and tarragon. The bottom notes, like a tender goodnight hug , are carnation and lilac musk.  When I first discovered this fragrance I loved the fact that it has a floral character but it’s not at all matronly or dated.   When I smelled it the first time it was warm, soft, and floral all at once. It surprised and captivated me immediately.

If you have a fragrance that you love for summer leave a comment below. I would also love to hear what you would wear to have brunch with the Duchess.

XOXO,

Lily
