The Pretty Power of Purple: Becca Cosmetics – First Light Filter Primer.

Hello Lovelies,

The season of winter brings to us many things: New Year’s Eve kisses, Valentine’s Day Chocolate, and dry, dull skin.  But 2017 is off to a fresh, radiant start thanks to the newest primer from Becca Cosmetics, the First Light Filter Face Primer.  Get ready for a game changer.  I had the fantastic opportunity to be wrapped in lavender magic and celebrate the launch of this product here in New York City!  The First Light Primer was celebrated with light, laughter, and love

Using a primer before your foundation has numerous benefits.  I always recommend using a primer before your foundation, after your skincare; primers can do oodles of cool things to help our makeup last longer, smooth lines and pores, control excess oil, or brighten and hydrate your skin, giving your makeup an extra boost of glow.  Yes, you need this extra step.  Violet, as a color correcting tool, reduces unwanted yellow tones and helps to brighten the skin! You can check out my post on color correcting here which explains in more detail.  This primer is perfect for all skintones and skin types. And although it looks purple in the bottle, it will blend into the skin as if it was translucent.

First Light reduces the look of tired, lackluster skin thanks to a nourishing and lightweight formula with Mineral Spring Water and Sodium Hyaluronate. It also contains Ginger which helps to energize the skin. I absolutely love the light and fresh, citrus-y scent. Everyday I use one pump for my whole face before applying my foundation. I have also noticed that since I have started using it I have been receiving compliments on my makeup looking more glowy!
